Ziprasidone is a antipsychotic drug used for the treatment of schizophrenia, acute mania and mixed states associated with bipolar disorder. It is a potent drug with mostly submicromolar IC50 values for principal targets. Ziprasidone is a 5HT1A/5HT2A antagonist (Ki=0.6nm for 5HT2A, Ki=2.3nM for 5HT1d), but has reasonably low Ki values for Dopamine D1-D5 receptors (Ki=7-152nM) and other receptors like α 1A adrenergic receptors (Ki=18nM), Histamine 1 receptor (Ki=63nm), and 5-HT transporter (Ki=53nm), as well.
