Flamma®552 is an orange fluorescent dye induced from cyanine structure and has a maximum value of Ex/Em at 550nm/565nm, and it can be also used for 532, 543, 546, 555, 568nm laser lines. Flamma®552 has a similar optical spectrum to Alexa Fluor®555 and CY3. Flamma®552 Hydrazide is labeled on Aldehyde or Ketone, and it is used for fluorescence labeling of small molecule compounds such as hormone and saccharide. To label Flamma®552 Hydrazide on polysaccharide or glycoprotein, oxidation process that oxidizes saccharide to Aldehyde is required. In general, it utilizes Sodium periodate-mediate oxidation method of vicinal diol. Excitation / Emission (nm): 550 / 565 nm. Spectrally similar dyes: Flamma®552, Alexa Fluor®555, CY®3. Extinction coefficient: 150,000 cm-1M-1. CF280: 0.07.
