Thisassayisalessthan1hoursandwichEnzymeLinked-ImmunosorbentAssay(ELISA)forquantitativedeterminationofhumanZinc-α-2-glycoproteininBIOLOGicalfluids.Zinc-α-2-glycoprotein(ZAG)wasfirstidentifiedinthe1960s,andit"snamederivesfromitsprecipitationfromhumanplasmaupontheadditionofzincsalts.ZAGhassincebeenfoundinsecretoryepithelialcellsandinarangeofbodyfluids.ZAGisidenticaltoalipidmobilizingfactorisolatedfromtheurineofpatientswithcancercachexiaandstimulateslipolysisininvitroandinvivoexperiments.Duetoitsexpressionin,andsecretionfromadipocytes,ZAGisconsideredanadipokine.Recently,theclinicalsignificanceofZAGhasbeenclarified.ZAGexpressioninadipocytesisinverselyrelatedtofatmass,thusitisintimatelyinvolvedinthemaintenanceofbodyweightinmiceandhumans.EpidemiologicalstudieshaveuncoveredanassociationbetweenZAGandplasmacholesterol.Thenon-synonymoussinglenucleotidepolymorphismrs4215inZAGisassociatedwithplasmacholesterolandobesity.StructurallyZAGpossessesaclassImajorhistocompatibilitycomplex(MHC)proteinfold.Itisdistinctfromothermembersofthisproteinfamilyinthatitissoluble,ratherthanbeinganchoredtoplasmamembranes,anditassociateswithprolactininducIBLeproteinratherthanβ2-microglobulin.Similartopeptideantigen-presentingclassIMHCmolecules,ZAGpossessesanopenapicalgroovebetweenitsα1andα2domainhelices.品牌介绍
